An unveiling ceremony marking the founding of Dongfeng Yanfeng Automotive Trim Systems Co Ltd was held at Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, Central China's Hubei province, on Dec 26.
Attendees at the ceremony included Hu Hongchun, secretary of WHDZ's work committee, Zhou Xianpeng, executive deputy president of Dongfeng Motor Corporation, and Chen Xinglin, president of Dongfeng Motor Parts and Components Group Co Ltd.
The new company has been formed from two of the former firm's branches in Wuhan and Shiyan, in Hubei province.
It is expected to boost reform and speed the pace of change at Dongfeng Motor, helping WHDZ upgrade its industries.
The founding of the new company will help develop the smart vehicle body system sector of Dongfeng Motor, which is important for our long-term growth, said Chen Xinglin, speaking at the ceremony.
