Dongfeng Motor Corporation, a company based in Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, central China's Hubei province, was given several awards at the Chinese and Foreign Corporate Culture 2018 Shenzhen Summit held in Shenzhen, South China's Guangdong province, on Nov 17.
More than 600 government officials, experts, scholars, and business representatives from all over the world attended the summit, sharing their experience of the development of corporate culture over the 40 years of China’s reform and opening up, and showcasing corporate culture management achievements.
Dongfeng Motor Corporation, several subordinate companies of Dongfeng, and a number of staff members of Dongfeng were honored for their work regarding corporate culture.
Li Pingan, director of the Party committee work department (corporate culture department) of Dongfeng Motor, addressed a forum during the event, pointing out that corporate culture is of great significance to the company's growth, sharing his experience and the company’s achievements, as well as viewpoints on future corporate culture trends.
Dongfeng has always attached great importance to corporate culture, believing that to build a word-class company, it is necessary to develop a first-class corporate culture, by being people-centered, innovation-oriented, and environmentally-friendly.
In September this year, the company ranked 15th on a list of China's top 500 firms, which was released by China Enterprise Confederation and China Enterprise Directors Association.
Also, Dongfeng ranked third on the list of China's top 500 enterprises in the manufacturing sector.
