Updated: 2018-08-31

A delegation led by Chen Xinmin, chairman of Hankou Bank, visited Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, central China's Hubei province, on Aug 29, for deepening ties between the two sides.

Established in December 1997, Hankou Bank is a city commercial bank based in Wuhan, and it currently has more than 150 branches all over the province.

The sub-branch of Hankou Bank in WHDZ was established in 2009, and has since provided more than 50 billion yuan ($7.32 billion) of credit support to enterprises in the zone, including 10 billion yuan for 300 small and medium-sized enterprises.

Hu Yabo, secretary of WHDZ’s work committee, welcomed the delegation and held a meeting with them.

Hu thanked the bank’s support towards the zone's development, and hoped to establish long-term and all-round cooperation with the bank, while also expecting more financial services.

Chen also thanked the zone's support for the bank's business, and said that the bank will provide comprehensive financial services for the zone, in aspects such as investment attraction and park construction.

The bank will continue to help the zone achieve high-quality economic development, added Chen.
