A new automobile control system company was set up in Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ) in Wuhan, central China’s Hubei province, on May 29.

Located in Dongfeng new energy vehicle industrial park, Dongfeng Hangsheng (Wuhan) Automobile Control System Company was set up with investment from Dongfeng Electric Vehicle Company and Shenzhen Hangsheng New Energy Company.
The new company will mainly focus on the research, development and manufacture of products such as vehicle controllers, battery management systems, motor controllers, and engine electronic control units for new energy vehicles.
The firm will also provide technical consultation services, with the aim of becoming a top supplier of market-oriented and internationalized new energy control systems.
The company’s new plant will be put into operation on June 15, and is expected to produce 800,000 sets of new energy vehicle control systems annually, with output value of over 2 billion yuan ($311.75 million).
Over the next few years, the company will seek to make breakthroughs in the core technologies of control systems for new energy vehicles, and lead development of the country’s new energy vehicle sector.
