Honda Aircraft, Hongxin General Aviation, and Feiyue Aviation marked the launch of a new business jet at Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ), central China’s Hubei province, on May 20.
The HondaJet H420, operated by Hongxin General Aviation and Feiyue Aviation, has a total length of about 13 meters and can carry five passengers.
Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport in Guangdong province is the operating center for the jet in South China, and Hannan General Aviation Airport in WHDZ is the base for central China.
By the end of the year, three Honda business jets will provide business jet service from the two operating bases, respectively.
They will mainly offer corporate flights for durations of two to three hours.
The rental price of the new business jet is only around one-tenth of commonly-used larger business jets, and is expected to fall further in the future.
WHDZ is currently developing its general aviation industry, and the establishment of an operating center for shared business jets represents a major achievement.
