The finals of the 2018 Badminton Asia Championships were held at Wuhan Sports Center in Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ), Wuhan, on April 29.
China’s Chen Long, also the defending champion, lost the men’s singles to the Japanese player Kento Momota by 17-21, 13-21.
Chen Yufei from China lost the women’s singles to Tai Tzu Ying from Chinese Taipei by 19-21, 20-22.
In the mixed doubles, Wang Yilyu and Huang Dongping from China beat the 2016 Rio Olympic champions Tontowi Ahmad and Liliyana Natsir from Indonesia, by 21-17, 21-17.
In the men's doubles, Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen from China beat Takeshi Kamura and Keigo Sonoda from Japan by 11-21, 21-10, 21-13.
