2018 Badminton Asia Championships open at WHDZ

The 2018 Badminton Asia Championships opened in Wuhan Sports Center at Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ), in Hubei’s provincial capital Wuhan, on April 24. 

Matches played on the day were qualifying competitions. 

Having been held in Wuhan for three consecutive sessions from 2015 to 2017, this year’s event will last till April 29. 

Nearly 250 competitors will participate in the games from more than 20 Asian countries, including Japan, South Korea, India, Malaysia, and Thailand. 

World-famous badminton players including Lin Dan and Chen Long from China, and Lee Chong Wei from Malaysia, will take part in the matches.
