The 2026 China Drift Championship wrapped up its Wuhan stop from Oct 30 to Nov 1, turning the Wuhan International Circuit into a venue for motorsports, public entertainment, and business exchanges. The event also saw foreign trade deals worth 50 million yuan ($7.5 million) signed at its opening ceremony.

As a national-level A-class competition, the event brought together 30 professional racing cars and about 50 drivers, including 10 competitors from five Belt and Road countries: Mongolia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan. A demonstration event featuring new energy vehicles was also held.

Beyond professional racing, organizers introduced activities that allowed ordinary motorists to experience the sport firsthand. A driving skills challenge invited anyone with a valid driver's license to compete in their own cars, without requiring a professional racing license.

The event also featured an automotive aftermarket exhibition with more than 30 businesses showcasing vehicle modification, maintenance, and automotive electronics. A food street, pop-up market, esports simulator zone, remote-controlled car area, and DJ stage added to the festive atmosphere, extending the event beyond the racetrack.

The championship also served as a platform for international business cooperation. Trade delegations from countries including Russia, the United States, South Korea, Malaysia, and Thailand visited local vehicle and auto parts manufacturers, as well as intelligent connected vehicle demonstration zones, to explore cooperation opportunities.
