A China Railway Express train loaded with Dongfeng vehicles and components departed from Wuhan on Sept 27 for Shabany in Belarus, marking the first comprehensive logistics service designed for Dongfeng Motor.
This innovative service addresses cross-border logistics challenges by providing a seamless "door-to-door" solution, with the logistics provider managing the entire process, from collecting goods at Dongfeng's production facility to handling packaging, customs clearance, cross-border rail transport, and final delivery to the recipient's doorstep in Belarus.
Throughout the dispatch process, various entities, including railway authorities and customs, collaborate to establish a comprehensive, integrated transport support system.
"To ensure the smooth export of Dongfeng vehicles, we formed a dedicated task force to guide enterprises in completing all declaration elements and tailored a customs clearance plan to facilitate efficient clearance and smooth overseas shipping of Hubei province's automotive products," said Cai Chenyi, a staff member of Hankou Customs.
Zheng Qianyi, another staff member of Hankou Customs, added, "We will continue to optimize customs supervision and service measures to support the local automotive industry in expanding into international markets."
The Wuhan to Shabany line has transported Dongfeng passenger cars and new energy vehicles since it launched on April 19, 2024. In April this year, authorities increased service frequency, introducing a fixed automotive line every Friday.
