WHDZ to offer 5,000 new school places from September

By September, four schools will have had extensions in Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone (WHDZ), Hubei province, providing around 5,000 new school places.

The four schools are Xinhua campus of Sanjiaohu Primary School, Bandao campus of Shenlong Primary School, Helenbergh School and Dongchengyuan Primary School.

At present, the four schools have had their main buildings completed, and are expected to be ready for the start of semester in September.

Located on Xinhua First Road, the first phase of Xinhua campus of Sanjiaohu Primary School has 12 classrooms, which have been part of the school since September 2016. The second phase of the school will add 24 classrooms able to accommodate 1,080 students.

Located near Dongfeng Sunshine City, Bandao campus of Shenlong Primary School has 36 classes which can accommodate 1,620 students. 

Helenbergh School, which is located in Xiaojun Village on Junshan Street, has 24 classes which can accommodate 1,080 students. The main bits of the construction project have been completed, and the second stage of construction will start in March.

Located on Dongjing Street, Dongchengyuan Primary School has six classrooms at present. By September, the school will be home to 18, providing 810 school places. 

In addition, construction of the new campus of Huangling Middle School in Putan community will be completed in December, which will add 30 classrooms providing 1,350 school places.
